This is a perfectly readable book that's essentially Sheldon looking for a wife, although this guy is clearly much more adaptable than that Big Bang Theory character. ABOUT A BOY (Nick Hornby) - October 4/14

In theory, this should've been right up my alley. But despite the likable characters, I was just not able to completely lose myself in the narrative. Hornby has a penchant for over-describing his characters' internal monologue and occasionally gets bogged down in flowery prose, which certainly held me at arms length.
