FIVE DAYS (Zoe Folbigg) - December 20/24
I basically enjoyed this book but it feels really long. I liked the main characters but the periphery ones weren’t so great. And the fake breakup was silly, unnecessary, and a waste of time. **1/2 out of ****
Short reviews of all the books I read, rated out of four.

I was a little unsure about this one at the outset, mostly because Rickstad does a fairly poor job of describing the initial school shooting. (I had to piece together what actually happened as I kept reading.) But I’ll admit that the downbeat yet propulsive narrative really hooked me and I tore through the final stretch over one morning. ***1/2 out of ****
It’s a David Koepp joint, so I shouldn’t be surprised that this is very entertaining. It’s maybe a little longer than I might’ve preferred, but Koepp delivers such a cinematic story populated with vivid characters that I didn’t mind. Can’t wait to watch the movie. ***1/2 out of ****
